The Advanced Treatment of Fibromyalgia
By Allen Wang
Allen Wang is a TCM expert of fibromyalgia in Toronto Ontario Canada. His special method of fribromyalgia treatment is the most effective for fibromyalgia pain, chronic fatigue syndrome & depression. It gives a new hope of total recovery from the suffering of fibromyalgia.
After a decade of practicing acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in North America, and while developing our expertise in the field of new, advanced Western techniques of treatment, our clinic has recently identified an effective and optimal method of treating fibromyalgia with a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbs and Quantum biofeedback.
Fibromyalgia is a complicated syndrome, which involves muscle pain, chronic fatigue, poor memory, sleeping disorder and other symptoms. It is usually diagnosed if a patient complains of more than 11 to 18 predetermined symptoms. The causes of fibromyalgia are also complex: accidents, hormonal imbalances, chemicals, autoimmune conditions, or negative emotions can cause it. The various causes and symptoms of fibromyalgia make it a highly complex disease, and both Western and Eastern medicine have failed to provide satisfactory therapies. Although fibromyalgia is not a life threatening disease, all the consequences of this syndrome will affect patients' daily lives negatively.
Research indicates that two types of people are prone to suffer from fibromyalgia: those who have suffered a car accident or, secondly, a work injury. When the body moves suddenly in an accident, tightening muscles send a message to the brain. Afterwards, the brain misreads signals and sends the body erroneous commands. That is why some patients complain of shoulder pain, while the real problems are in their backs or necks. Our main task is to let the brain give the correct signals instead of wrong ones and to help patients establish a positive feedback cycle instead of negative one. The use of painkillers may confuse the brain even more. Dr. Nikita Vizniak, an American physician and author, stated that drugs simply keep patients stuck in dysfunction, preventing them from generating enough energy to find true liberation, true healing.
The philosophy of Chinese medicine emphasizes the Yin-Yang balance. According to this theory "pain is from blockage, and the blockage causes pain." Acupuncture helps the body to regulate the nervous system and calms down its over reactive sensitivity. Our treatments follow the basic theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine in order to distinguish types of fibromyalgia: a pattern of ying deficiency or excess, or yang deficiency or excess, and to assess whether the underlying problem of fibromyalgia is from coldness, hotness, windiness or staginess. On the basis of this diagnosis a treatment plan is subsequently designed. Such a plan comprises, first, the use of acupuncture and herbs to detoxify the body's exhausted condition caused by its slow metabolism and by medicine; secondly, the use of acupuncture to balance the body energy and the organ energy; thirdly, to use the quantum biofeedback computer program to regulate the brain signals; fourthly, to use herbs and food supplements to enhance the body's self-healing function. These methods are also effective with patients who have similar symptoms but who are not necessarily suffering from fibromyalgia.
Fibromyalgia patients who want to recover totally and return to optimal health have to pay close attention to their diet and their life-style. Our clinic offers health-related consultation and Qi Gong physiotherapy class for long-term health maintenance. Our goal is to relieve patients from pain not just for a limited period but permanently, and to bring them back to perfect health.
